The Creator Economy was a genuine breakthrough. It turned individuals into media companies and unbundled distribution from gatekeepers. But it concentrated reward at the very top of a steep power law, and it left the audience — the source of all that demand — outside the value exchange.
Not a replacement, an evolution
The Viewer Economy does not diminish creators. It strengthens them. A creator with a participating community has more durable demand, lower churn, and a distribution engine that does not reset every time a feed re-ranks. Creators create; communities participate; both share in what they build together.
